After finishing high school Marco Bazzoli graduated in trombone, choral music and choral conducting, band instrumentation as well as in composition and orchestral conducting. He has directed many ensembles such as the Trentino Brass Band, the Ottoni del Concilio and the Ottoni Italiani "En chamade". From 1989 – 2001 he conducted the Corpo Musicale di Gardolo (Trento) wind band, with which he achieved acclaim at the “Flicorno d’Oro” international band competition in 1993 winning 1st prize in the Small Band category and a special mention from the jury for his conducting. He has given many important concerts with the Grande Banda Rappresentativa of the Trentino Province Band Federation, taking part in the WASBE Conference in Schladming (Austria) and the 52nd Midwest Clinic in Chicago (U.S.A.).

He is currently conductor of the Grande Banda Rappresentativa, Trentino, and two of Italy’s most prestigious professional wind orchestras, namely, the Civica Banda Musicale of Padova and the Civica Orchestra di fiati of Milan. With the Band of Padova he recently won first prize at the “Veneto Suona” Band Competition. As a member of the technical committee of the Trentino Federation of Bands he has often been a jury member in international competitions and has been invited as guest conductor by many important bands an ensembles, often giving workshops. Together with Carlo Pirola, he is currently Artistic Director of the international band competition "Flicorno d'Oro" of Riva del Garda.
