What former students have to say about this course:

  • Massimo Oldani, age 28, music teacher and professional player, from Magenta, Province of Milan, Italy.

What can I say about the course? A really great, interesting experience, well-organised... An excellent teacher! A nice guy, but at the same time very precise and demanding. I’ve been able to learn some secrets about the euphonium and some very important and useful theoretical aspects. I’ve had the chance to get to know different players at various levels and can safely say that thanks to Steven’s work there is not one of them that hasn’t improved significantly.

Thanks to this course I’ve been able to meet and admire a great artist which is a great incentive for continuing to study for the general appreciation of this instrument!

  • Corrado Colliard, age 40, professional trombone/ euphonium teacher and player from Hône, Val d’Aosta, Italy

The ISEB euphonium course, taught by Steven Mead has been an interesting experience which has enabled us all to get to know our instrument better with all of its quirks! Steven is a generous and patient teacher who manages to communicate his enthusiasm to all his students. He tackles each student’s individual lesson with the same seriousness and patience whether a professional or a beginner. Each meeting has proved full of surprises and every session in Sardagna was really worthwhile.

Steven doesn’t have a rigid conception of music and his philosophy, his approach to the instrument are constantly evolving. It is precisely for this reason that I believe that regular contact with him is indispensable and this course provides the best occasion for that. I believe that every player should have this experience.

  • Francesco Carito, age 40, surveyor, amateur player and big euphonium fan, from Turin, Italy

Euphonium course: another reason for living! I hope to be able to take part in lots of other courses. Thanks to Steven and those who organised this great course!

  • Alberto Pedretti, age 20, student, amateur band player from Bienno, Province of Brescia, Italy

An interesting experience thanks to the possibility of being able to compare yourself with other euphonium players (both professional and non-professional), and the opportunity of having an exceptional teacher like Steven Mead!

  • Angiolino Delvecchio, age 42, industrial technician, amateur band player, from Taverne, Switzerland

This course offers you the chance to really improve, to understand your problem areas and to have motivating goals to reach. You have to try it to believe it!!

  • Domenico Gianuzzi, age 30, 1st Euphonium player with the Italian Marines Band, Nepi Province of Vitterbo, Italy

Fantastic! A really great experience from every point of view; to be recommended to those like me who want to study the euphonium to a high level.

  • Ueli Kipfer, age 26, professional soloist, teacher and conductor, Burgdorf, Switzerland

Super! Thank you. Maybe I can only come for 3 or 4 weekends of next year’s course, but I definitely would like to continue!
